Have you posted your ballot yet?

UCU members at GCU are currently being asked to take part in an important statutory ballot.

As members know, the University has proposed around 100 job cuts and has refused to rule out compulsory redundancies. UCU’s position is clear: compulsory redundancies must be ruled out and the University should use its financial strength to protect jobs while the longer-term position on student recruitment becomes clearer.

But for the ballot to count, members must return their ballot papers.

Because this is a statutory ballot conducted by post, simply supporting the union’s position is not enough. Every member needs to complete their ballot paper and post it back.

Many ballots are still sitting on desks or kitchen tables. If you have your ballot paper, please take a moment to post it. It takes less than a minute but makes a real difference.

Please aim to return your ballot by 21 April at the latest to ensure it arrives in time.

If you have not received your ballot paper, you can request a replacement from the union as per instructions in emails sent to you.

Below is a short video message encouraging members to return their ballots. Please take a moment to watch and, if you haven’t already done so, post your ballot today.

Every vote matters.
